What is a forehead lift?

Many patients who suffer from drooping eyelids automatically think of an upper eyelid lift. Often, however, the cause is not (only) excess skin on the eyelid itself, but a sagging forehead and brow area that presses down on the eyelid from above.
The simple test you can do at home
Stand in front of a mirror and close your eyes, relaxing. Place a finger on the side of your eyebrow and gently lift it a few millimetres. Open your eyes. The costs vary considerably depending on the method and the extent of the procedure. An endoscopic forehead lift usually costs between 4,000 and 7,000 euros.
The most severe swelling will subside within 1–2 weeks. After around 2–3 weeks, you will usually be able to go out in public again. Mild residual swelling and numbness may persist for several months.
The 3 to 5 small incisions (approx. 1–2 cm) are made a few centimetres behind the hairline. Once healed, the scars are usually well concealed by the existing hair and are barely visible.
The results are very long-lasting and, on average, last for 10 to 15 years before age-related changes become visible again.
